Jinyus

Shavaun Stewart, more popularly known as Jinyus, is a Dancehall / Reggae artist. Born in Kingston, Jamaica. Jinyus's witty wordplays, diversity and creative style of music caused him to accumulate a following of people who appreciate authentic dancehall lyricism. Jinyus's first went viral when a demo recording of a song titled "Ova 500 Guns" got leaked and was spread via bluetooth on cellular phones throughout Jamaica, but it was not until a viral video called "Bakk-a-skool wenzdez" which features Jinyus amongst other school-mates freestyling and spitting lyrics in high school was uploaded to youtube when people could finally put a face to the name. Jinyus met Grammy-winning recording artist, Bounty Killer, following Jinyus' performance at a stage show hosted by Bounty in June 2011. Killer found the young performer quite favorable and later announced that Jinyus is now one of the main members of Bounty's Alliance Portmore Regime (APR). Jinyus went on to do numerous shows and mixtapes with the Portmore Alliance before the split up of the APR. The young entertainer is also known for features in a number of skits and vlogs by popular Jamaican comedian Andrew Trabass as well as freestyles on Urban Mondays (TNS) which is a radio show on Zip103FM (one of Jamaica's top radio stations) by Zj Chrome, a well known discjock and music producer.
