Exile I is the debut EP by Men in Exile—a raw and intimate exploration of memory, movement, and musical identity. Each track draws from the deep well of rural Greek tradition, reimagined through the trio’s improvisational lens. The clarinet leads with the voice of old laments and dance tunes, grounded by the earthy pulse of contrabass and percussion. This first chapter in the group’s journey captures the tension between belonging and departure, the known and the unknown. It’s an ode to displacement—not just as a condition of geography, but as a space of creativity. Exile I is not just about loss—it’s about what music remembers.
